The last time I remember hearing music this fresh was the first time I heard Jamiroquai singing “We’re too young to Die” and I knew a star had been born. Not everybody’s cup of tea, but he remains the sole survivor of the Acid Jazz movement as far as I can tell.
From New York, Nyle puts his puts his own spin on Lil Wayne’s song “Let The Beat Build” and ups the game significantly.
It is a really nice return to Hip Hop on live instruments, can’t think of anything since Arrested Development’s MTV Unplugged session that has this vibe. The video is all shot from one camera, in one take, and the music seems live to my ear.
