If you like noodling a bit on your acoustic, abandon all hope of EVER being this good. Got his album last weekend in a Golden Disks sale (eh…) and haven’t looked back.
Newton Faulkner is billed as a ‘British Jack Johnson’ by the Evening Standard, and this review made me buy it, but the Evening Standard are obviously music hating scum, as I think Faulkner has more in common with Andy Mc Kee’s guitar acrobatics, plus he can sing at the same time. Great playing altogether. Enjoy.
