Taking perfection to new highs, er… lows

So, many of you may have heard that some of the fireworks at the opening ceremony of the Olympics were computer generated in order to ensure everything looked as it should.  Now it’s come out that the little girl singing “Ode to the Motherland” in the beginning of the ceremony was actually lipsynching.  The officials felt it was “in the national interest” to use her as the face of the song, even though another, apparently more talented, but less cute little girl sang the song. This is definitely sending an interesting message to Chinese citizens and to the world.
